The funds we spend on our charitable activities go to four main areas: prevention of welfare problems, direct intervention to improve animal welfare, influencing and research.

If you are a recent Brooke supporter - thank you! You enable us to reach millions of working horses, donkeys and mules and the communities who rely on them.
Our work directly helps 1.8 million animals a year.
Millions more working horses, donkey and mules feel the benefit of Brooke too. We also train thousands of animal health workers and people living in communities who rely on working animals around the world. On a bigger scale, we've fought for new policies to protect millions more working animals.

- Farrier school - the first 11 Certified Master Farriers graduated in Senegal
- Over 230,000 horses, donkeys and mules benefitted from water projects in Ethiopia
- Millions of working animals have been helped by our work.
How money is spent
The funds that we spend on charitable activities are divided up like this:

Why your donation matters
Our fundraising activity plays a crucial role in generating much needed revenue to ensure we have the income to support our growth. This will enable us to reach even more suffering animals, and ensure we can sustain our work well into the future.

How will my donation be distributed?
Donations will be distributed across all of Brooke's work where the need is greatest, helping working horses, donkeys and mules.
Occasionally, we run appeals to raise funds for specific projects or countries. These appeals will always explain how your donation will be spent if the target is not met or exceeded.
Gift Aid claimed on all donations will be unrestricted.
